DXVISION LED Display Won “Good Screen at Random Shot” Award

During the February 20, 2012-February 23 LED CHINA, The World of display, a magazine that makes advertisement for LED screen manufacturers, held an activity called “good screen at random shot”. DXVISION has stood out in this activity, and its LED display has further reached 1/2000 camera shutter requirements. DXVISION LED displays have a higher refresh rate up to 3840Hz, together with intact 16-bit grey scale, showing the best visual effect.

The World of Display has done an exclusive interview to DXVISION on the conflict between refresh rate and grey scale. DXVISION has given following three remarks:
Magazine: how to deal with the conflict between grey scale and refresh rate?
DXVISION: In domestic LED display industry, most of LED display manufacturers have no self-developed control system and they use the control system from third part, and most manufacturers do not have deep understanding about control system, so they cannot adjust the control system to the production need, and it is hard to reach the max matching between refresh rate and grey scale.
DXVISION is taking the road with world-top manufacturers, DXVISION LED displays have applied self-developed control system, and it differs in the technical framework and has broken through some key link which can reach higher performance.
Magazine: how does DXVISION achieve the high grey scale, high refresh rate and high use ratio?
DXVISION: Due to the chip and sources constraints, the grey scale and refresh rate is a contradiction. In terms of the scanning model besides static scanning, time is limited for scanning display under high refresh rate, and it is an extremely tough task for reaching high grey scale at this short scanning time. Higher refresh rate is lower grey scale or higher grey scale is lower refresh rate. With the advanced control calculation and the high performance control chip, DXVISION has balanced the contradiction between refresh rate and grey scale according to different environment.
Magazine: what can LED display manufacturers do to improve the grey scale and refresh rate and use ratio in the future?
DXVISION: Refresh rate up to some degree can meet users’ meets, and the future technical goal is for high-bit signal processing and higher grey scale. With the increasingly expanding of LED display application, especially for the longer viewing time in the indoor situation, demands on the visual effect and comfort is increasing. And LED display industry mainstream the 8-bit signal processing capability and 10-14bit grey scale is difficult to meet the professional requirement, which makes LED display manufacturers and control system manufacturers facing enormous challenges.

Of course, how to effectively improve the photoelectric conversion efficiency, under the environment of energy saving, is worth to deserve great efforts to solve this contradiction perfectly, which mainly depends on the upstream technical development and breakthrough in LED industry.
