Concept of Color Gamut
Color Gamut, refers to the covered scope area constituted by color numbers released from some kind of equipment. In real world, the color of visible spectrum in nature composes the widest Color Gamut space which contains all the colors human eyes can see.
To intuitively express this Color Gamut concept, the CIE drafted a way to describe the Color Gamut, that is to say, CIE-xy chromaticity diagram. In this chromaticity, the Color Gamut scope from various display devices is shown by a triangle area formulated via RGB three point lines.
DXVISION Wide Color Gamut Concept
DXVISION LED display added yellow color on the basis of traditional RGB three colors widening the whole color gamut (as following figure). The RGBY Quattron technology makes the display more vividly reproduce the yellow, golden colors that the traditional RGB three-color technology is hard to reach making the image color more exquisite and closer to the real color human eyes can see.
The Function of (RGBY) Quattron Color Technology to Display
In the nature image, especially the high saturation green and yellow color can be reproduced better under multiple color system, and can remarkably improve the color reproduction effects.
LCD or LED display, adopted the (RGBY) Quattron color technology, the display color is more accurate and more authentic than the traditional (RGB) three-color display.
The Quattron enhances the color creative ability and image quality, and the color saturation is higher and truly representation of the rich and gorgeous colors of nature. It can demonstrate high brightness, and improve the lighting utilization, which to some degree reduces the total screen power voltage.
